There is a specific kind of silence that exists just before the sun breaks the horizon—a moment where the world feels suspended in gold. I painted 'Whisper of Light' to capture that delicate transition. It is an exploration of how light doesn't just sit on a landscape, but breathes through it.
Technically, this piece is built on a foundation of rich, grounded earth tones—deep ochres and warm umbers applied with a weighted palette knife to create a sense of history and permanence. I then layered sheer, luminous glazes and highlights of pale silver and gold to mimic the way light 'whispers' across the fields. It is a study in contrasts: the heavy reality of the earth meeting the fleeting, mystical energy of the sky. My hope is that when you stand before this canvas, you feel that same sense of quiet awe that comes with a new beginning.
