Pink Kisses unfolds like a half-remembered garden, suspended somewhere between landscape, flowers and atmosphere. I wanted the painting to feel soft and romantic without becoming overtly floral — a fleeting impression of blossoms emerging through light and then dissolving back into it.
I built the surface through layers of translucent colour and softly worked passages, contrasting them with more tactile, palette-knife marks. Delicate fragments of ivory, blush pink and muted rose gather across the composition, while touches of olive, earthy taupe and smoky grey create depth beneath the lighter forms. The surrounding field of powdery pink, warm nude and pale peach provides a sense of quiet, luminous space.
The composition moves diagonally through the canvas, with areas of greater texture gradually dispersing into softer, almost weightless passages. Some forms suggest petals or flowers, but they remain deliberately unresolved, allowing the eye to move between abstraction and recognition.
For me, Pink Kisses is about tenderness and memory — something beautiful glimpsed briefly, like petals caught in a breeze or the lingering sensation of an affectionate moment. It is intimate, feminine and quietly sensual, yet there is also a sense of impermanence: beauty appearing, fading and gathering again.
