In Invisible Strength, I wanted to capture the hidden resilience that pulses beneath the surface of things. For me, this painting is an interpretation of the deep, quiet power that carries us through moments of change. I chose a base of dark, immersive teals and forest greens to represent the unknown or the unseen foundation, layered with sudden, fiery bursts of crimson, orange, and gold.
As I worked with my palette knife, I felt a sense of defiance. I wanted the colors to look as though they are breaking through a heavy atmosphere, rising like embers from a deep shadow. To me, the heavy texture and the high contrast symbolize the vibrant energy we all hold inside—the strength that isn't always loud, but is always there.
