In Echoes of Spring, I have sought to capture the effervescent energy of a garden in bloom, translating the fleeting magic of nature into a permanent, tactile experience.
This piece is sculpted entirely in oil using a painting knife, a technique that allows me to build a heavy impasto surface where light and shadow play across every ridge and peak.
Drawing on a Neo-Rococo sensibility, I embraced a palette of whimsical pastels and vibrant corals to evoke a sense of airiness and sophisticated playfulness. By eschewing brushes for the knife, I’ve infused the canvas with a rhythmic, sculptural movement that mirrors the restless vitality of the season.
This work is intended to stir a deep sense of unbridled optimism and renewal. I hope that when you stand before it, you feel the gentle, chaotic harmony of a world waking up—a sensory echo of warmth, fragrance, and light.
