In A Tender Abundance, creamy white blossoms gather across soft greys, their curled petals touched with dusty rose, peach and muted burgundy. Charcoal passages weave between them, giving depth to the pale flowers and drawing the eye through their cascading movement.
I shape the blossoms with generous palette-knife marks, leaving ridges and folds that catch the light. Elsewhere, the paint thins and floral forms soften into the background, creating moments of stillness around the richer clusters.
This painting explores tenderness through colour and texture. I wanted the flowers to feel generous and quietly alive, holding both the fullness of bloom and the fragility of petals beginning to loosen.
