I have always believed that our most vivid memories aren't stored in photographs, but in the air around us. I painted this piece to capture that fleeting, invisible moment when a specific scent—wild jasmine on a warm breeze or the damp earth after a spring rain—suddenly pulls you back to a place you thought you had forgotten.
In these layers of oil, I wanted to recreate that beautiful 'blur' of nostalgia. The colours don't sit still; they drift and mingle, much like a memory does. For me, this painting is a quiet invitation to stop, breathe, and let yourself be carried back to a moment of pure, fragrant peace. It is less a landscape of a place, and more a landscape of a feeling.
