In A Flourish of Coral, I bring together the warmth of coral and burnt orange with deep forest greens, lime and soft ivory. Thick, expressive palette-knife marks suggest blossoms opening and folding into one another, their edges shifting between floral form and abstraction.
A sweeping passage of white opens the composition, giving the richer colour room to breathe. I am drawn to this interplay between abundance and openness—the energy of flowers growing freely, interrupted by moments of quiet.
This painting celebrates the physical pleasure of paint and the spontaneous rhythms of a garden in bloom.
