With Spring Fever, I wanted to capture that restless, electric energy that hums through the air when the seasons finally shift. For me, this painting is an interpretation of uncontainable growth—that moment when life doesn't just return, it rushes back with a vengeance. I felt a sense of wild playfulness while working on this, using my palette knife to layer vibrant moss greens, fresh whites, and hints of lavender in a way that feels almost untamed.
I built up a heavy, complex impasto because I wanted the texture to mirror the intricate chaos of a forest floor waking up. When I look at this piece, I feel the thrill of a new beginning; it’s a celebration of the messy, beautiful, and overwhelming vitality of the natural world.
