We slow-dance, my head on your heart, your breath in my hair, your hands on my hips, our feet slower perhaps because we’re moving together.
I created "A Long Slow Dance" with a painting knife using two different mark making techniques, which resulted in a lovely textured surface. The flowers are done impasto style, in which undiluted paint is applied thickly onto the canvas so that it stands out from the surface. This decadent surface of different textures brings the painting to life. This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished white edges. It comes satine varnished and ready to hang.
