FLOWER LANDSCAPES

I paint abstracted imaginary landscapes, and it’s the idea of landscape as a structure, rather than a real place.

I enjoy playing with the horizon line, sometimes I  put it high, so the vastness of the landscape seems to topple over on you. Sometimes it is low so the sky's expanse blocks out everything else.  I have a passion for light,  turbulent, churning, always in motion. I work to capture the light to create a sense of radiance as the light moves through my compositions.

I want the work to feel expansive, as if growing out beyond the confines of the canvas, creating space with the drama of its bold color, strong lines, and copious markings.
